Lyrics
Wildflower
Written by Doug Edwards and Dave Richardson
She's faced the hardest times
you could imagine
and many times her eyes fought back the tears
and when her youthful world
was about to fall in
each time her slender shoulders
bore the weight of all her fears
and a sorrow no one hears
still rings in midnight silence,
in her ears Let her cry, for she's a lady
let her dream, for she's a child
let the rain fall down upon her
She's a free and gentle flower,
growing wild
and if by chance I should hold her
let me hold her for a time
but if allowed just one possession
I would pick her from the garden,
to be mine
Be careful how you touch her,
for she'll awaken
and sleep's the only freedom that she knows
and when you walk into her eyes,
you won't believe
the way she's always paying
for a debt she never owes
and a silent wind still blows
that only she can hear and so she goes
Let her cry, for she's a lady
let her dream, for she's a child let the rain fall down upon her
She's a free and gentle flower,
growing wild
This Man Of Mine
Written by Eilleen Twain
-ureleased demo, this song became “Any Man of Mine” 1994-
This man of mine is all I hoped for
He’s everything I dreamed and so much more
He’s got a way to make the sun shine when it rains
He’s got a way I can’t explain
Chorus:
This man of mine is a walkin’, talkin’ angel
He’s the reason that I live
This man of mine’s got a gentle soul, a heart of gold
And so much love to give
There will never be another one like him
I love this man of mine
This man of mine is a believer
A dreamer of lover’s in the sand
He likes to go for long walks and he always holds my hand
He’s a romantic kind of man
Chorus:
He doesn’t have a bad bone in his body
No he never has a mean thing on his mind
And when he says he’ll be somewhere he’s always on time
He’s too good to be true this man of mine
Chorus: 3x and fade
Amneris Letter
Written by Tim Rice
I'm sorry for everything I've said
And for anything I forgotten to say too
When things get so complicated
I stumble, at best, muddle through
I wish that our lives could be simple
No, I don't want the world, only you
Oh, I wish I could tell you this face to face
But there's never the time, never the place
So, this letter will have to do
I love you
Blue Eyes Cryin' In The Rain
Written by Fred Rose
In the twilight glow I seen her
Blue eyes crying in the rain
as we kissed goodbye and parted
I knew we'd never meet again
And love is like a dying ember
Only memories remain
And through the ages I'll remember
Blue eyes crying in the rain
Someday when we meet up yonder
We'll stroll hand in hand again
In the land that knows no parting
Blue eyes crying in the rain
Coat Of Many Colors
Written by Dolly Parton
Back through the years
I go wonderin once again
Back to the seasons of my youth
I recall a box of rags that someone gave us
And how my momma put the rags to use
There were rags of many colors
Every piece was small
And I didn't have a coat
And it was way down in the fall
Momma sewed the rags together
Sewin every piece with love
She made my coat of many colors
That I was so proud of
As she sewed, she told a story
From the bible, she had read
About a coat of many colors
Joseph wore and then she said
Perhaps this coat will bring you
Good luck and happiness
And I just couldn't wait to wear it
And momma blessed it with a kiss
My coat of many colors
That my momma made for me
Made only from rags
But I wore it so proudly
Although we had no money
I was rich as I could be
In my coat of many colors
My momma made for me
So with patches on my britches
Holes in both my shoes
In my coat of many colors
I hurried off to school
Just to find the others laughing
And making fun of me
In my coat of many colors
My momma made for me
And oh I couldnt understand it
For I felt I was rich
And I told them of the love
My momma sewed in every stitch
And I told em all the storys
Momma told me while she sewed
And how my coat of many colors
Was worth more than all their clothes
But they didn't understand it
And I tried to make them see
That one is only poor
Only if they choose to be
And I know we had no money
But I was rich as I could be
In my coat of many colors
My momma made for me
Made just for me
Shoes
Written by Shania Twain, Robert John "Mutt" Lange, Tammy Hyler, Joie Scott & Kim Tribble
Tell me 'bout it.
Ooh!
Men: have you ever tried to figure them out?
Huh, me too, but I ain't got no clue: how 'bout you?
Men are like shoes, made to confuse.
Yeah, there's so many of 'em,
I don't know which ones to choose. (Yeah, yeah, yeah.)
Ah, sing it to me if you agree. (Yeah, yeah, yeah.)
There's the kind made for runnin',
The sneakers and the low down heels. (Whoa!)
The kind that will keep you on your toes,
And every girl knows how that feels. (Yeah, yeah, yeah, oh.)
Ouch, ah, sing it with me. (Yeah, yeah, yeah.)
Chorus:
You've got your kickers an' your ropers,
Your everyday loafers, an' some that you can never find.
You've got slippers an' your zippers,
Your grabbers and your grippers, an' man, don't you hate that kind?
Some you wear in, an' some you wear out,
Some you wanna leave behind. (Some you wanna leave behind.)
Sometimes you hate 'em, an' sometimes you love 'em,
I guess it all depends on which way you rub 'em,
But a girl can never have too many of 'em.
It's amazing what a little polish'll do:
Men are like shoes.
Some make you feel ten feet tall, (Tall.)
Some make you feel so small. (So small.)
An' some you wanna leave out in the hall,
Or make you feel like kickin' the wall. (Yeah, yeah, yeah.)
Ah, sing it with me, girls, ooh! (Yeah, yeah, yeah.)
Chorus:
Some can polish up pretty good:
Ah, men are like shoes.
It's amazing what a little polish will do,
Some clean up good, just like new.
Some you can't afford, some are real cheap.
Some are good for bummin' around on the beach.
(You've got your kickers and your ropers,)
(Your everyday loafers,)
Yeah, some that you can never find.
(You've got your slippers and your zippers,)
(Your grabbers an' your grippers.)
And man, don't ya hate that kind?
Chorus:
I ain't got time for the flip-flop kind...
Men are like shoes.
You Needed Me
Written by Randy Goodrum
I cried a tear
You wiped it dry
I was confused
You cleared my mind
I sold my soul
You bought it back for me
And held me up and gave me dignity
Somehow you needed me.
Chorus:
You gave me strength
To stand alone again
To face the world
Out on my own again
You put me high upon a pedestal
So high that I could almost see eternity
You needed me
You needed me
And I can't believe it's you, I can't believe it's true
I needed you and you were there
And I'll never leave, why should I leave
I'd be a fool
'Cause I've finally found someone who really cares
You held my hand
When it was cold
When I was lost
You took me home
You gave me hope
When I was at the end
And turned my lies
Back into truth again
You even called me friend
Chorus
2x
You needed me
You needed me
Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know
Written by R.J.”Mutt”Lange, Eilleen Lang & Scott
-performed by Britney Spears on her album: “Oop!... I did it again” 2000-
My friends say you're so into me
And that you need me desperately
They say you say we're so complete
But I need to hear it straight from you
If you want me to believe it's true
I've been waiting for so long it hurts
I wanna hear you say the words, please
Chorus:
Don't, don't let me be the last to know
Don't hold back, just let it go
I need to hear you say
You need me all the way
Oh, if you love me so
Don't let me be the last to know
Your body language says so much
Yeah, I feel it in the way you touch
But til' you say the words it's not enough
C'mon and tell me you're in love, please
Chorus
C'mon baby, c'mon darling, ooh yeah
C'mon, let me be the one
C'mon now, oh yeah
I need to hear you say
You love me all the way
And I don't wanna wait another day
I wanna feel the way you feel
Oh, c'mon
Don't, just let me be the one
Don't hold back, just let it go
I need to hear you say
You need me all the way
So…baby, if you love me

Only A Woman Like You
Written by M.Martin/Rami/R.J.”Mutt”Lange & Eilleen Lange
-performed by Micheal Bolton on his album: “Only A Woman Like You” 2001-
It's beautiful, your honesty
You cry when you need to
You say what you feel
You're never afraid to wear you heart on your sleeve
You're always so open with me
It's in your voice, I can hear it
The sound of a woman in love
Chorus:
Only a woman can love you so much
Give you her life and give you her trust
Not any woman can do what you do
Only a woman like you
It's magical, your love for me
It's more than a man could ever receive
I'm just a man and it's hard to believe
A woman like you could love me
It's in your eyes, I can see it
The look of a woman in love
Chorus
If only I could find the words to say
But I just can't, so forgive me
Cause you took the words away
You answered every prayer I always prayed
It's in your touch, I can feel it
The feeling of a woman in love
